Dear Family and Friends,
My companion have now decided that we have the power to control brown outs. Now first, what is a brown out? Its when the power goes out, but it happens frequently. The are kinda annoying sometimes and so we were planning one night and while my companion was praying the lights when off, so in his prayer he asked that the lights would come back on soon. With miracle-like precision as we both said Amen, the lights turned on. It was so amazing we both stood up and screamed. Everyone at this point was confused why we were freaking out and my companion and I both yell in unison "FAITH MAN!". So yes, we do have the power, and since that moment the power hasn't gone out since! Let us know if the power goes out at home (or wherever you are) and we'll pray it back on again!
This Christmas was my last one in the field. It was bitter sweet. But I learned a lesson from the scriptures this week. Think of the overwhelming peace that people may have felt when the star appeared the night of Christ's birth. Like the story earlier with the lights coming back on, we were overjoyed and we only waited like 2 mins for the lights to come on. Think about how long people waited for Jesus (the true light) to come. Such a small star, was a sign to those who had faith that "the way" had come. That there was now a way for their pains, sufferings, and guilt to be swept away. It was the sign that Heavenly Father loved them, it was a sign that he wants them and us to return to live with Him. This Christmas I remembered that reason why Christ was sent, because a loving Father wants all of His children to come back home.
We are getting ready for a new year, and with it comes new years resolutions. If I may suggest, don't make resolutions, but goals. The year isn't made to see how much we do, but see what we do with the time that has been given. Use it to its fullest.
I can officially say that I will be seeing you in the next year! But while I'm here I will use it all. I hope each of you know that I love you and keep you in my prayers!
Mahal ko kayo lahat!
