Dear Family and Friends,
Alright to start off, we had another typhoon (two actually) that passed by this week leaving us soaked, but we had a ton of fun in it. We had a bike race with the Elders in our Apartment in the rain and it was funny to see that our fronts were the only things wet, our backs were almost completely dry! Bikes are so great!
This week I had a rough time, I found myself at a point where I wanted to say that the reason we weren't getting the success I wanted was because of things other than me, I found myself saying that I was one of few giving it their best. When I realized that maybe the reason we weren't getting what "I" wanted was because it wasn't what "The Lord" wanted.I found this was a problem for the Isrealites as I read through Numbers and Deuteronomy. I have a joke in our apartment that when I leave studies I always update the house about my "respect-o-meter" for the Isrealites. I found a common problem for most the stories, the people got to a point where they assumed that because the Lord wasn't blessing them now, it was because of something other than themselves. It was a funny trap that I thought only applied to their time, but it applied to myself this week. I have changed since another moment I had in Sacrament meeting.
I hope that everyone is ready for a great Christmas season! Its weird to think its my last in the field, made a bit sad this week. But I hope each of stay safe and warm (if your in Utah) talk to you soon!
Mahal ko kayo!
