Dear Family and Friends,
As it looks like in the picture above (look under the pictures tab), we are packing up and getting ready to leave the MTC for good. It was weird being in my room and packing up all the things I had unpacked a week ago (at least that's how it felt). I'm so ready to actually make a difference in someone's life. While I'm grateful for the MTC and the experience it has given me, I believe the mission field will be better. After last email and my list about things I'm excited about my dad wrote that I might need to change my priorities a little. I thought about that and realized that indeed I had viewing this stage as more of a vacation than an actual mission. I saw a picture from my teacher Sister Stromberg of a Filipino family she taught and I knew right then and there what I was really here for. I want so badly to give other families the same hope, and the same opportunity to be a family forever. Who wouldn't want that? I'm only giving up 2 years with my close ones, so that other families and have forever together. With this new found energy and enthusiasm I'm as ready as I'll ever be for the field.
I would like to also thank everyone who write me while in the MTC. Whether you knew it or not those letters sometimes are what pulled me through those rough days. I tried to write everyone back and if I haven't yet I'm sending you a letter today (sorry Chris, I didn't have an address until today...) I will also try to write everyone from the philippines as soon as possible so everyone knows I'm still alive. I will continue to send out a weekly update!
Till then, see you all in 2!
