So a war has begun, don't worry this is a war only within the walls of our home, but a war none the less. This war is between the missionaries and the 4 cats that visit and pee on my companions desk almost every other day. This has been a war raged for more than 6 months, and this transfer my companion and I are planning to end it. Traps are being set, desks are being covered, and senses are on alert. If anyone has suggestions on how to get rid of a gang of 4 cats, let us know, this war ends this transfer!
This week had a lot of things to get done, and lots of things to prepare for. Rumor has it that the temple's ground breaking will happen by the end of this year, hopefully I'm here to see it! But with the temple grounds getting ready (And yes I have seen them), Satan is also raging a battle of his own to stop it. Have you ever noticed that when things are about to get good that Satan does something to keep you from it? This is something that everyone finds very discouraging, but Elder Holland gives comforting words about this:
“The FUTURE of this world has long been DECLARED; the final outcome between GOOD and evil is already KNOWN. There is absolutely no question as to who WINS because the VICTORY has already been posted on the SCOREBOARD. The only really strange thing is all of this is that we are still down here on the FIELD trying to decide which TEAM’S JERSEY we want to wear!”
The Lord will win, and those who wear His jersey he will preserve and prosper! This week we saw things that made me discouraged and I wondered how I could compete with so many things being thrown at the people here. I had a moment to myself were I wondered if I could do it this week, but as soon as I was quiet I was prompted to tell myself The Standard of Truth:
“The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.”
Do we realize that the Lord's promises "Shall" come to pass, not just "may" come to pass? There is a clear winner as Elder Holland said, and those who work in this work will come come off conquerors\, whether they see Zion redeemed or not. There are so many things that can discourage us, but there is much more that can lift us. I know that the Lord is here in Urdaneta, he is preparing His house, and protecting His saints.
These next few months will be full, and the Lord will do many miracles here as well as at home!

P.S. The Dragon Fruit Tree blossomed again for some strange reason, but this time it had 6! I had to take pictures of it!
